Organise Impact Report: February 2026

February 24, 2026

It's been a busy and successful start to 2026. Organise members have come together to raise issues, find solutions, and win campaigns to make work better for our 1-million-strong community.Together, we’re supporting worker-led campaigns that have delivered change at big companies like Asda and Primark, helped community nurses in the NHS and influenced the Government to raise the National Wage. Here’s a snapshot of the Organise community’s recent impact 👇

ASDA staff force u-turn on harsh sick pay plans 🙌

A campaign win! Asda have been forced to scrap their plans for stricter sick pay rules - this would put many more workers with long-term health conditions at risk of disciplinary action. Almost 5,000 of us signed an Asda worker’s petition to the Chairman of Asda demanding they halt their plans to introduce harsher sick pay rules. [1] Alongside pressure from the GMB Union, Asda has halted its plans. [2]

Cheryle’s big win at Primark 🏆

Cheryle, a Primark worker, was being hassled to attend in-person meetings while undergoing chemotherapy and not offered any support. She launched a petition on Organise, saying “I don’t want anyone else to go through what I went through at Primark.” [3] Now signed off from work due to ill-health, Cheryle decided to speak out, and her courage sparked a wave of public support. Thousands of us signed her petition, shared our own stories, and helped shine a light on what was happening behind closed doors at Primark. Cheryle and the Organise team met with senior Primark bosses to present the campaign directly. In that meeting, they admitted:“We should never ask someone to come in for a meeting if they physically can't.” This was a really important win, and they acknowledged that Cheryle's treatment was not acceptable. Primark has now confirmed that big changes are on the way for how they support people with long-term health conditions and sickness.

🚗 Community nurses force NHS review

Community nurses were told that their mileage allowance was being cut from January 2026 so thousands of us sprung into action to protect these key workers. [4] The NHS Staff Council have already responded to the campaign - and together, we’ll keep the pressure up until NHS community nurses are paid back fairly for the cost of driving at work.“Discussions are ongoing and work is currently in progress with the negotiation team’s key focus being to reach an agreement on a new mechanism that... fairly reimburses staff for the cost of travel.”

13,000 of us helped increase the National Wage 🙏

13,000 of us shared our experiences about working on the minimum wage with the Low Pay Commission - the official body that advises the Government. [5] Together, our voices were cited in the report and the Government has agreed to raise rates by 4.1% for over 21s and by 8.5% for those ages 18-20. [6] It’s the second year running we've helped increase the minimum wage!

Join the fight for fair student loan repayments

Buried in the 2025 Budget was a decision with huge consequences to make it even harder for hard-working graduates to pay back their student loans. In new Organise research, thousands of us describe struggling to afford our rent, priced out of buying a house and soaring interest rates meaning despite paying off hundreds of pounds a month our debt only keeps increasing. [7] MPs have committed to an equality assessment, but that isn't going far enough. Join the 6,500 who have signed the petition to Rachel Reeves to: 🔴 Scrap interest on student loans, so loan balances stop growing while people are paying them back 🔴 Raise the repayment threshold, so people can cover basic living costs before repayments start. The campaign has already received coverage in dozens of media outlets, including ITV News and The Times and our next step is a huge petition delivery to No 10 Downing Street. [8]

Together we’re defending flexible working

When flexible working came under attack, our community didn’t stay silent. We organised. And together, we’ve made a real impact. Here’s what we’ve achieved so far:- More than 10,000 of us have signed the petition to stop the attack on flexible working rights - sending a powerful message that flexibility matters. [9] 1,000 of us have emailed our MPs, ensuring our voices are heard in Parliament and already an MP has written to the Department for Education asking for answers. [10] We partnered with Mother Pukka, one of the UK’s leading voices on flexible work because when we work together we’re unstoppable. [11] From winning fair wages to changing the law, Organise members are at the forefront of making work better for all of us. These examples of impact highlight how important – and effective! – it is when we all come together to take action. What change do you want to see at work? Take action today in just a few simple steps with Organise. Thank you for all that you do, Amy, Ros, Roxy and the Organise team
