Primark worker shares big update!
Together we’ve reached a huge milestone for Primark workers.

Together we’ve reached a huge milestone for Primark workers.
Yesterday, the Organise team met with Primark on my behalf and Primark have committed to reviewing and changing their policies to support workers with long-term illnesses.
These changes wouldn’t have been possible without all your support, so thank you for taking part and standing in solidarity with workers battling cancer, like me.
I now have a favour to ask. Primark have committed to more training for managers and more focus on wellbeing, but they haven’t confirmed whether they will stop capability assessment for people undergoing chemotherapy (or other intensive treatments).
Unless we can stop this, workers who are long term sick will still be subject to harmful and exhausting assessments. The Organise team will be meeting with Primark again in two weeks and I’d like to deliver lots of messages from workers and shoppers about why this needs to stop.
Will you write an anonymous message to Primark now?

Here’s what one Primark shopper has already shared:
“Primark - you have to stop forcing workers into capability assessments when they are having chemotherapy! It is absolutely ridiculous that you would expect this of people who work for you. Please have more compassion for staff and commit to ending this policy immediately.”
Together, we put pressure on Primark to act. Thank you so much for all your support. Primark’s apology for how they treated me, and all of your support, has made me feel so much better in such a difficult period of time.
Thank you again,
An anonymous Primark worker
